This animation was made for my Visual Design in Multimedia class. We were told to create a calming or meditative animation for the College of Health and Human Services at UNCW. The animations are going to be put up on screens around the buildings to help relax and destress students. I decided to create a sleeping frog on a lily pad in the middle of a pond because we learned a lot about how simple and serene environmental scenes are often calming. I picked the Pixel Art style because that was something I wanted to experiment with in animation and had not had much prior experience with. I used Adobe Photoshop to create frame by frame animation, and then took the animation into After Effects where I composed and worked everything together. I am really proud of how this animation came together and will definitely continue to explore pixel art and animating sprites in the future. The music was done by a friend of mine who was doing a project at the same time.
